April Fool's Day spirit

Yesterday we decided to pull an April Fool's Day prank.
Our prank wasn't as big as Google's but it was fun to write.
Anyway, we are still in business and we'll hopefully be for a while.

Out of Business letter to our users

To CASH Productions users,

Due to some financial problems, we’ve been trying to sell the company for the last three months. Fortunately, this other company from CLASSIFIED CITY decided to buy us out of business. We worked out a deal that ended up with a positive financial outcome.

The company who bought us decided that as long as our products were available in the AppStore, they wouldn’t be able gain any new users; therefore, the buyout wouldn’t make any sense. The following is a clause from the contract we signed last week.

CASH Productions needs to remove all of its applications for the iPhone and iPad from the Appstore, within two weeks. Also, CASH Productions must stay out the iOS market for the next 24 months.

Therefore, next Tuesday we are going to cancel our iOS developer certificate. Once we are out the iOS Developer Program, Apple will remove all of our applications from the AppStore and remotely uninstall them from our users’ devices. Sorry, neither we nor Apple refunds applications bought on the AppStore for non-technical issues.

Next month we’ll start auctioning our existing codebase in eBay, following the agreement guidelines.

CASH Productions cannot reuse its existing iOS codebase anymore. As a way to make some profits, CASH Productions can auction its existing codebase on eBay, no sooner than a month from now. However, CASH Productions cannot provide any sort of support or documentation to the buyer of its existing codebase.

Android here we go!
